1. Your order
Placing an order on this website reserves your system at the price shown. Your order is confirmed once you have signed the installation proposal sent by our installer, Emerald Solar. Prices include the battery, inverter and full MCS-certified installation.
2. Before installation
We'll talk to you and ask for photos or a video of your consumer unit (fuse box) to check your home is suitable.
3. Extra costs
Only possible extra: a consumer unit (fuse box) upgrade if your home needs one, £300–£500, charged at cost. We'll always tell you before any work. If the checks show extra work is needed, we'll explain the cost and you can choose to go ahead or cancel without charge.
4. Payment
Paying cash: a fully refundable 10% deposit is taken by card at checkout by our installer, and the balance is due on the day of installation. Paying with finance: there is no deposit to pay at checkout, and you'll receive a separate email to apply. Finance is subject to status. Your deposit is refunded in full if you cancel within the cooling-off period, at any time up to 48 hours before installation, or if your home turns out to be unsuitable.
5. 14-day cooling-off period
You have 14 days from signing the proposal to cancel for any reason and get a full refund. If you'd like installation to start sooner, you can ask us in writing to waive this. Where grid (G99) approval is needed, that approval usually takes longer than 14 days anyway.
6. Cancelling later
You can cancel at no charge up to 48 hours before your installation date. After that, equipment may already be on its way and costs may apply.
7. Technical cancellations
If your home turns out to be unsuitable for technical reasons, we may cancel the job and refund any money you've paid.
8. Timescales
Installation usually 7–21 working days after order. If the grid needs to approve it (G99), allow an extra 10–21 working days.
9. Warranty & aftercare
Batteries carry the manufacturer's warranty, registered for you. Emerald Solar gives a 2-year workmanship warranty. For help after installation contact customercare@emeraldsolar.co.uk or 0800 254 5440.
