FAQs

How long does installation take?+

Installation usually happens 7–21 working days after you order. If your grid operator needs to approve it (G99), allow an extra 10–21 working days.

What's included in the price?+

The battery, inverter, MCS-certified installation, all cabling and isolators, meter fitting, grid (DNO) notification, commissioning, app setup and a full handover.

What could cost extra?+

Usually nothing. The only common extra is a consumer unit (fuse box) upgrade, £300–£500 at cost, and we always tell you first.

Who installs the battery?+

Emerald Solar, an MCS-certified installer (MCS NIC-602139), with a 2-year workmanship warranty.

Do I need solar panels?+

No. A battery can charge on a cheap overnight tariff and power your home at peak times. All our systems can also take solar panels.

How are the savings worked out?+

It's an estimate based on charging overnight and using that energy at peak times, saving around 18p per kWh. Your real savings depend on your usage and tariff.

What happens after I order?+

Our team contacts you within 2 working days, asks for photos of your fuse box and sends a proposal to sign. Your order is confirmed once the proposal is signed.
